Velo City Annual Benefit Honors Laurie Cumbo


Please join Velo City and friends in celebrating another year of training the next generation of urban planners and designers!

Thursday, April 4th, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

In addition to celebrating Velo City's fourth year of cycling-based urban planning and design education programs we will recognize the inspiring work of an individual, a company, and a non-profit organization. Our honorees are leaders in the built environment, community development and social justice realms.

  • Inspiring Individual:  Laurie Cumbo, founder of Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts and City Council candidate
  • Inspiring Nonprofits:  Partnerships for Parks
  • Inspiring Company: Patagonia

With your ticket, you'll receive the following on the evening of Velo City's benefit:

There will also be a silent auction. 

Donations can be made to Velo City through its fiscal sponsor, the Vera Institute of Justice.  Donations will be tax deductible as permitted by law and the proceeds from this benefit will fund New York City urban planning and design education initiatives for teens.
