Laurie Cumbo To Receive WISH Honor From Young Movement

Young Movement has selected Laurie Cumbo as a recipient of their Women In Service Honor (W.I.S.H) Award as an individual who continuously demonstrates commitment to serving community. This award is given to women who are playing a vital role in the betterment of under served communities.  According to the award letter from Brian-Christopher Cunningham, CEO, Laurie was lauded specifically for her “proven track record as an art educator, and honored for the time, energy, expertise, and resources she has provided to the community.”

A formal presentation will be given during a celebration at the New York Historical Society on March 30, 2013 at 11:30 AM, attended by Young Movement members and guests.

Young Movement (YM) is a member-supported action tank providing research, advocacy, and partnerships on socio-economic issues like financial literacy and employment alternatives for young adults and professionals in New York.
